What do Slovaks drive? Which car brands are the most popular? And how much should you expect to pay if you plan to buy a car in Slovakia? 
There are now 4 major car companies operating in the Slovak Republic: Volkswagen Slovakia, Kia Motors Slovakia, PSA Group (Peugeot Citroen) Slovakia, Jaguar Land Rover.
It is therefore not surprising that Slovaks prefer such brands as Škoda, Volkswagen, Kia and Peugeot. The Hyundai brand is also among the top five most demanded cars 
Slovak motorists pay more attention to practicality and safety than to appearance. 48% of Slovak motorists prefer station wagons, about 38% prefer SUVs, and about 14% prefer minivans.
Judging by the results of 2020, the most frequently bought cars were: Škoda Fabia, Škoda Octavia and Hyundai i30.
What about prices?
Now the price of a new Škoda Fabia starts from 11,000 €. Škoda Octavia from €18,000.
Volkswagen Polo from the factory will cost from 13,000 €, Volkswagen Tiguan from 24,000 €.
The price tag for the new Hyundai i10 starts from 9,000 €. Hyundai i30 – from 13,000 €
Of course, if you plan to buy a used car, the price may be an order of magnitude lower. If you need a car with additional equipment, you should count on larger sums.
