In Slovakia, a series of measures were taken at once to help businesses avoid losses and recover quickly. These included deferring loans and tax payments.
But when should you still file your 2019 tax return if you haven’t done so already?
A taxpayer must file an income tax return for 2019 by 31 October 2020. This day falls on a holiday, so the deadline is extended to 2 November 2020. By the beginning of November, you must also pay the tax. Be careful!
These dates are not taken from the ceiling. For tax purposes, the pandemic in Slovakia ended on 30.09.2020 <
> And the payment and filing of the declaration was postponed until the end of the calendar month following the end of the pandemic period, i.e. October. Taking into account the weekend, this action fell to the beginning of November.
