Why can a Slovak residence permit be refused 🤔
There are various reasons for refusal. For example, you did not provide documentary proof of the grounds for obtaining a residence permit. Or you have submitted expired documents or have not confirmed your financial security 💶 Therefore, it is important to follow all requirements clearly.
We always tell our clients what to look out for and thoroughly check the documents before submitting them. But even in case of rejection, there is a possibility to appeal. In our practice, there has never been such a case when a client was denied a residence permit and we could not refute it. All our clients receive a residence permit.
However, there are rare situations when it is a 100% refusal, which is difficult to refute in any way. What are we talking about?
✅ Submission of false or inaccurate documents
Friends, false documents can put a fat cross on the possibility of obtaining a residence permit in Slovakia and in general in the EU. Believe me, it’s better not to take risks and do everything legally and legally at once.
✅ Criminal record
A certificate of criminal record is mandatory in the list of documents for a residence permit.
✅ Failure to meet the requirements for a medical condition
These are exceptional cases when there is a medical condition that poses a threat to public health. For example, certain mental and infectious diseases. It may take into account not only the diagnosis but also the severity of the condition, treatment options, and the likelihood of complications.
✅ Existence of a threat to the national security of Slovakia.
If there is evidence that a person has ties with extremist organizations, has access to secret information or technology, or poses a threat to the country’s security, there will be an unambiguous refusal of a residence permit.
Of course, all 4 reasons for refusal are rare. However, it is necessary to know about them.
