The Slovaks are very good skiers
For them it’s a tradition that is instilled from childhood. And indeed! How can you not become an avid skier or snowboarder when you have such wealth at your fingertips!
There are more than 100 ski areas in Slovakia. Here you will find comfortable and well-equipped slopes of various lengths and difficulty levels.
27 Slovak resorts have one or more cable cars. Of these, 14 have high-speed roads. Their speed reaches 18 km/h, while the speed of ordinary roads is 2 times less.
In total, there are about 500 ski elevators in the Slovak Republic.
But that doesn’t mean it’s only for alpine skiers.
In the Slovak Tatras there are:
cross-country skiing tracks,
equipped areas for kiting and bob-sleighing,
slopes for sledging.
Many resorts have ski schools for adults and children. And if you’ve never been skiing, that’s no reason to give up the fun.
Ski slopes in Slovakia attract not only locals but also tourists. Not only the quality and convenience, but also the prices are pleasing.
The average price for an adult day pass varies around 30 euros, for 6 days – 150 euros. The cost of a children’s pass is 20 euros, for 6 days – 110 euros. This is 1.5-2 times cheaper than in Austria, for example.
So welcome to skiing Slovakia
