Business residence permit in Slovakia is one of the most popular routes to permanent residence and citizenship in the EU 
There are 2 types of grounds for a business residence permit:

> registering you as an entrepreneur (like a sole proprietor) or
<> starting a company.
What are their differences? And which is better to choose 
The amount in the account required to obtain a residence permit.
For a sole proprietor there must be 5,000 € in the company account and 2,600 € in the personal account. For a company, the personal account must also have 2,600 €, but the company account must have 22,000 €.
How much tax do I have to pay to extend my residence permit?
Entrepreneur – at least 300 € per accounting year. Firm – at least 3,500 € per accounting year.
For the entrepreneur and for the company, the tax on profit before turnover
100.000 €/year is 15 %. If the turnover exceeds 100,000 €/year, the company pays 21% and the entrepreneur 19%.
But! For companies, another 7% is added when dividends are withdrawn. And for entrepreneurs 71 €/month for insurance + 150 €/month pension contributions if the income for the past year exceeds 6000 €.
For entrepreneurs with children, unlike company owners, there is a tax bonus of 350 €/year for each child 
Firms can only withdraw money in the form of dividends or through business expenses supported by documentation. There are no restrictions for sole proprietorships.
An entrepreneur is entitled to state insurance. The obligatory 71 €/month is paid for this. At the same time, all children of the entrepreneur up to the age of 18 automatically receive state insurance without any additional costs. The directors of the company are not entitled to state insurance, but must have commercial insurance.
The number of directors in a firm may be up to 50 persons. For a sole proprietorship, only the entrepreneur himself.
