In 2020 alone, more than 16 million tree seedlings were planted in Slovakia
And this is only within the framework of the state programme.
Plans for 2021 include planting another 13 million new trees. But the most important thing is that such plans are not just empty words, we see how it all comes true.
In our opinion, such attention to ecology is one of the indicators of the country’s economic development
A stable, intensively developing economy allows quietly allocating funds for environmental needs.
There are also new plans for waste recycling. Slovakia plans to start recycling textiles from 2025. Unwanted shoes and clothes are now usually put into special containers for the needy. But in 4 years, textiles will be recycled, apparently not so many of these ‘needy’ people.
In general, it is customary to sort the rubbish here for further recycling. Usually there are 4 containers near each house: for glass, paper, plastic and other wastes ![]()
The Slovaks teach their children from childhood that ecology and taking care of nature is everyone’s business. After all, it is much more pleasant to live in a clean, green country!
Of course, there is still a lot to strive for and work on. There are some citizens who are not so conscious, and the waste sorting programme itself can still be improved. But it’s still great that the problem is not only being voiced, but that they are actively trying to solve it.
How do you feel about the need to sort rubbish? Leave your number below the post ![]()
– positive, I am willing to spend time on sorting, because I know it is for the good,
– neutral, I don’t care if there is sorting or not.
– negative, I don’t want to spend time and bother with this rubbish.
