What is important not to forget if you have already been approved for a residence permit? Within 30 days of the issuance of the residence permit, you must obtain a medical certificate.
What this document is ❓
✅ The certificate must confirm that you do not have any diseases that pose a danger to public health.
What are the time restrictions ❓
✅ The certificate must not be older than 30 days. Again, we emphasize that you must submit the certificate within 30 days from the date of issuance of the residence permit. If you cannot do so for good reasons, the police may extend the deadline for the certificate by 60 days at the request of the foreigner.
Does everyone need to do ❓
✅ There are rare exceptions when a certificate is not required. For example, if you have a residence permit or a permanent residence permit in another EU Member State.
Where can you apply for it?
✅ Only certificates issued by specific medical institutions are recognized. In the case of Bratislava, these are:
- Foreign Disease Clinic (Poliklinika cudzokrajných chorôb), Americké námestie 3.
- Institute for Vaccination and Travel Medicine (Inštitút očkovania a cestovnej medicíny s.r.o.), Teslova 33.
- Mlynská Dolina Medical Clinic (Poliklinika Mlynská dolina), Staré Grunty 56,
- Travel Health Clinic, Tehelná 26.
Attendance of medical examination and issue of such medical certificate is included in our service package for obtaining a residence permit in Slovakia.
