All those residing in Slovakia, including holders of residence permits and permanent residence permits.
How will the census go?
The electronic accounting option has been thought through. Until 31 March, you only need to fill in a special questionnaire on the website
https://www.scitanie.sk/.
What questions will need to be answered?
In addition to the standard questions about personal data, the form includes items about your place of residence, family, education, work️, nationality, religion. It takes no more than 10-15 minutes to complete.
Is it compulsory to participate?
Regardless of your nationality and citizenship, if you live in Slovakia, you should take part in the census. Otherwise you may face a fine from 25 to 250 €.
In the Slovak Republic, as well as in other EU countries, a census takes place every 10 years. And these statistics are not for paper, but for more rational and targeted budget allocation. The main objective is to make living in Slovakia even more comfortable and safe.
Among the objectives of the census are ![]()
To help cities, municipalities to get sufficient funding for their development.
It is better to plan the intervals of transport links, the size of public transport and stops.
Organise medical care and emergency services in a more rational way.
Facilitate the development of projects that require additional funds, such as sports fields and bike lanes.
Improve the traffic situation based on an estimate of the number of residents travelling to and from work.
Census data will also be used to plan future recreation areas and parks.
