As is clear from the figures, there are no huge metropolises here. But there are landscaped, neat, homely and cosy cities and other settlements. The largest of them, apart from the capital: Košice, Prešov, Nitra, Žilina, Banska Bystrica and Trnava.
But even in the largest Slovak cities, there is no rush hour rush and pandemonium 
This doesn’t mean that in Slovakia every day is like another and there are no events. There are plenty of options for active holidays here. Before the pandemic, there were constantly cultural events, festivals, exhibitions, costume parades, fairs, etc.
But if you’ve already merged with the fast pace of life, and a certain urban chaos adds spice and motivation, you’ll need time to get used to the measured Slovakian everyday life.
