Košice – a place definitely worth visiting 
The city is located in the east of the country. It takes about 4-5 hours to drive from Bratislava to Košice.

The city has two of the largest public universities in Slovakia:
Technical University, Pavel Josef Šafárik University.
More than 10 thousand people in Košice work in the IT sector. At the same time, the potential of companies increases every year.

What about the sights?
There are plenty of them here too! The neo-Gothic Jakabov Palace and St. Elizabeth’s Cathedral are just a few of them. From the Executioner’s Tower to the Plague Column, Košice has a lot to offer lovers of history and European architecture.
And the surprises don’t end there.
Treasure troves have been found in the town many times. In 1935, gold coins, medals and jewelry weighing 11 kilograms were discovered. But even more valuable was the uniqueness of the treasure – for example, the riding medal of Ferdinand I is the only one in the world.
More than 500 15th century silver coins from 15 countries, a dozen ceramic goblets and playing chips were found in 2019.
