The second phase of testing. For everyone or not?

Второй этап тестирования. Для всех или нет?

Autumn in Slovakia spoils with a bright palette and beautiful views <🍂> If only it wasn’t for the worries and concerns about the coronavirus, it would be great!

The recent universal testing, however, is encouraging!

👩‍👩‍👧‍👧 More than 3.6 million people took the test. If we take into account that the free test was open to people over 10 years of age and without serious illnesses, the turnout was 90%. This was the first time that such a large number of people had been tested.

Although queues could not be avoided, there was no pandemonium, breach of the recommended distance or negativity.

📍 1.06% of the total number of people who underwent the universal rapid diagnostic test were found to be ill. This percentage also included those with mild or no symptoms that could have been a source of infection.

With timely diagnosis and self-isolation of the sick, it is hoped that the progression of the pandemic in the country will be reduced 📉

And accurate post-testing statistics will allow for more targeted planning of other measures to combat Covid-19.

📍 It has already been decided that only those districts where the number of positive tests was greater than 0.7% will face a second round of testing on 7 and 8 November.

Therefore, for example, the inhabitants of Bratislava and Košice will be able to avoid the second phase. Regarding the extension of the curfew, the decision has not yet been made and is being discussed by the authorities right now.

We will keep you updated <😉 > We wish you a pleasant autumn, comfortable weather and health unmarred by Covid-19!
