Renovated tram line in Bratislava

A well-developed tram network is one of the advantages of Bratislava 🚊

🔸 There is free Wi-Fi at many stops.
🔸 Most of the electric trams (that’s what trams are called in Slovakia) are new, but there are also refurbished older models.
🔸 The transport itself has space for wheelchairs, pushchairs and bicycles.
🔸 Authorities are constantly monitoring the condition of the stops and tracks.

The modernisation of the Karlová Ves – Dubravka tram line has recently been completed. Special attention was paid to safety and convenience in the modernised line. In addition to the reconstruction of the tracks themselves, new scoreboards, canopies, ticket vending machines were installed at all stops. Barrier-free passageways have been equipped.

🌱 Perennials are planted along the paths. They are low-maintenance but will be a delight to the eye.

It took over a year to build and repair. It’s the longest branch, and there were restrictions due to the pandemic. But the official opening took place the other day 🚄

The Mayor apologised to the residents for the inconvenience caused. Matus Vallo thanked everyone for their patience and noted that everyone had contributed to the creation of a comfortable and safe tram line.

So, friends, you can already use it 😉 Do we have those who live or work in Dubravka, Karlovy Ves neighbourhood? Wave under the post 🖐️😊
